Intellect Software

Intellect is the windows-based software that controls DVT's SmartImage Sensors. Every SmartImage Sensor comes with Intellect firmware, pre-loaded. The package uses familiar Windows dialog boxes and help files to guide you through your applications.

Intellect software delivers all the power of even the most expensive machine vision systems; tools such as:

• Smartimage Sensor Emulator - Use the Intellect user interface without having hardware connected -- Ideal for demonstrating or debugging applications, and self-guided training.
• ObjectFinding Tool - Finds predetermined objects 360°, even occluded, overlapping or unevenly lit parts.
• OCR Softsensor - High accuracy, excellent repeatability, factory proven.
• ActiveX Controls - Drag and drop frame-work controls in HMI-SCADA packages, Visual Basic or .NET programs for a custom look -- perfect for OEM and/or machine builders.
• ScriptTool - Provides easy access to system parameters for writing custom inspection routines or controlling digital I/O for special applications (looping, string, and array functions; pixel level access and global variable adjustments).
• DataLink - Allows communications with a wide variety of motion controllers, robot controllers, PC-based & SPC software packages, HMIs, and PLCs.
• Modbus support - Easy communication with most HMI/SCADA packages.
• Foreign Language Support - German, French, and Italian.

Powerful SoftSensor Tools:

Translational and Rotational
Transitional SoftSensors locate the exact vertical and horizontal position.  Rotational SoftSensors track rotational position (360°).

Intensity, EdgeCount, FeatureCount
Intensity SoftSensors inspect the range of pixel light values.  EdgeCount counts the number of light to dark transitions.  FeatureCount determines the size of the transitions.

Measurement, Math Tools
These tools work together to determine distance, intersections, radius line and angle measurements to a sub-pixel level of accuracy, provide scale factors, and calibrate robot coordinates and distortion.

Readers
Trainable OCR tool, also reads and interprets 1-d and 2-D symbologies for part traceability and inventory tracking. 

Blob Tools
Analyzes shapes for various geometric characteristics.  Blob tools are primarily used in part sorting and locating applications.

Template Matching
Identifies patterns using a self-learn feature.  Ideal for label inspection and optical character verification.

ObjectFinding Tool
Finds predetermined objects 360° using self-learn, even occluded, overlapping or unevenly lit parts.
